Time Isn't Real at the Art Gallery of Burlington

Time isn’t real. Well, it is, and it isn’t. The sun and moon rise and fall, and stuff happens in between.

In celebration of it's fiftieth anniversary, The Art Gallery of Burlington presents, Time Isn't Real, curated by Suzanne Carte. The exhibitions, projects, and programs in this golden anniversary year push beyond celebratory timestamping and make space for open discussions on the futurity of art and clay. The gallery is employing this half-century celebration of artistic production, cultural festivities, connections, and storytelling as an opportunity to bring multiple generations of Canadian clay artists together.

The AGB holds the largest comprehensive collection of contemporary Canadian ceramics in the world, totaling more than 4,000 works. This anniversary exhibition brings works from our collection into conversation with artists Alex Jacobs-Blum, Roy Caussy x Glenn Lewis, Gabi Dao, Hannah Faas, Thomas Haskell, Manuel Mathieu, Julie Moon, Lindsay Montgomery, Anahita Norouzi, ORXSTRA, Shanie Tomassini and Linda Sormin.

Opening Thursday January 16, 2025, 6:30–8:00 pm

Time Isn't Real runs from January 17 - April 27, 2025.
