Canada is the invited country for the 2024 edition of the Contextile Biennial, so the work of Meghan Price is off to Portugal for inclusion in an exhibition showcasing the diversity of textile work made in our country. As partner organisation Biennial Le Du Linde Port Neuf have selected works by ten artists, with Price’s monumental piece Hutton's Unconformity to be featured for the biennial which opens in early September.
Curated by curators Adrien Landry, Dominique Roy and Donald Vézina, other artists presented in the Canadian exhibition include Coco Monet, Ruth Scheuing and Carole Simard-Laflamme among others who are leaders in the creative and weaving field.
CONTEXTILE became an international reference in the field of contemporary textile art. It is also a unique cultural and artistic event, which transforms the Guimarães region into the centre of a process of interaction and connection between artists, creators, communities, industry and territories.
