Lincoln Museum & Cultural Centre, Jordan Station, Ontario

February – July 2024

Opening Reception: February 23, 6-8pm

Generations of an Archive is an art exhibition that brings together connected bodies of work by Toronto-based Japanese Canadian artist, Emma Nishimura, in her many-years consideration of the multigenerational legacy of the Japanese Canadian Internment and forced dispersal. Guest curated by Emily Putnam, Generations of an Archive asks visitors to consider both the tangible and intangible, the presence and absence of how and why we remember our pasts, and what stories are carried across generations.

The Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre: Home of The Jordan Historical Museum of the Twenty is dedicated to the interpretation, exhibition, research, collection, and preservation of past, present, and future narratives relevant to the Town and the Niagara Region.
