Scheglov is a Hamilton-based artist whose work draws on themes of identity, specifically the intersection of his queer and Russian experiences, as well as childhood memory, nostalgia and aspirations for collective unity and personal freedom. He balances his training as a perceptual painter with abstract strategies to create narrative figuration.
Scheglov's work has been exhibited at the Latcham Art Centre and Gallery House. He also participated in the 2023 Artist Project and the 2022 Toronto Outdoor Art Fair.
