Biography

Sarah Dinnick is an observer of the small, significant moments and whispering voices that hint at solitude, absence and longing, whether in reflections of her own body, a quiet landscape or in the bustling street; figures fleeting, reflected, and transformed— her pictures conjure the liminal spaces between remembrance and reclamation.

Dinnick's work has been exhibited in numerous group and solo shows in Canada and the US. A graduate of McGill University with a Bachelor of Art History, and Visual Communications at the Ontario College of Art and Design and the Pratt Institute, she is a founding partner of the award-winning design firm Dinnick & Howells. Dinnick is an active member of Canada’s arts community, serving on numerous boards and photography acquisition committees. In addition to her various work within the local arts community, Dinnick is committed to the cause of human rights and helped establish Human Rights Watch in Canada over 15 years ago.
